ANTIQUE 1874 (Mle 1866-74) Fusil Gras French Army rifle was made in St Etienne, France.

Fully functioning action with a bright bore, and all original parts with serial numbers, including the cleaning rod.

Single shot carbine fired a black powdered cartridge. Grooves were cut in the barrel to help the spent gases escape.

This rare, antique piece of history is very clean and in excellent condition. The woodstock is a dark, hard wood with a smooth finish that is free from cracks or chips.
