This is WWII German Manufactured 8×56R (rimmed) Ammunition. It was manufactured for the German Model 1895 straight pull Steyr Rifle and Carbine, also known as the Steyr Short Rifle.
This rifle was used extensively in WWI and by secondary and various Nazi home and security forces throughout WWII. Case bodies are clean brass with case heads clearly marked with the Nazi swastika and Eagle, date and month of manufacture (August 1938). This is impressive display ammunition and a must-have for all WWII collectors, historians and aficionados.
Ammunition remains on ORIGINAL Waffenamt Marked Clips and in ORIGINAL Wartime Waffenamt Marked Boxes, containing 10 rounds each. Clips are marked by various manufacturers. Choices on these markings are not available. Please do your own study on this ammunition.
