Full Description

This is a cool Dreyse pistol with double Berlin police markings. The serial number is intact and is on the top of the slide on this model pistol. The XXXX overstamping on the side was to block out the Berlin Police's KPPB No497, Imperial era marking when the Weimar Republic began in 1918. The Weimar Berlin Police markings are on the front of the grip KB and Berlin PD serial 1218.

The pistol is in good shape for being nearly 110 years old. The finish is still nice. I don't think it has been refinished. The barrel is still bright and clean. The action is strong. I haven't shot it. This might have been a GI bring-back from WWII since these were issued to the Volksturm, last-ditch defense troops, near the end of the war. The pistol has 1 magazine and comes with an almost full box of 25acp that I had in my safe.

Another double Berlin Police marked pistol sold for $1450 and the description was still online. That pistol was a little nicer in the finsh, had 2 magazines and a holster. This is a segment from that listing:

M1907 Dreyse Pistol that is Double property marked to the Berlin Police, It is Imperial era marked K.P.P.B No.3096…. Royal German Police Presidium Berlin…and also Wiemar Marked on the front gripstrap to the Kriminalpolzei Berlin. This pistol was marked to the Polizei Presidium and was issued during the Imperial Period and served right up through the end of the Nazi Period in 1945.
