Update 5/2026---- Very Nice, Original Pre'64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30/06 caliber. Serial # range 4572xx, All Original w/ factory buttplate, original swivels, original sights, including front sight hood. The walnut stock shows clean, sharp checkering w/ some light marks/flaking in the stock varnish. No brusing or cracks in the wood at all. The blue is 98% with no wear on the 22 inch barrel or action. The bolt root shows a very slight blue thinning from soft case storage over the last 80+ years. It does have one light scratch on the floorplate blue (see picture). I'm not positive the aluminum floorplate has the original finish !!  No buggered screw heads. The serial number on the bolt is matching. The bore is bright/shiny w/ very sharp lands & grooves showing no discoloration anywhere in it. Good chamber.  The trigger is set at a clean, crisp 4lbs for hunting. It has Leupold 2 piece scope mounts & 1" medium rings.
