The Mosin–Nagant is a five-shot, bolt-action, internal magazine–fed Russian military rifle introduced in 1891 and made in several variants throughout the years. The Mosin–Nagant Model 1944 Carbine was introduced into service in late 1944 (with 50,000 service-test examples produced in 1943) and remained in production until 1948. It features a permanently affixed, side-folding cruciform-spike bayonet. A groove for the folded bayonet is inlet into the right side of the stock. From February 1944, this type of carbine was issued to Red Army infantry troops as a replacement for the standard rifle. This carbine features a 20.5" barrel, smooth one-piece walnut stock with grooved forearm, folding spike bayonet, adjustable flip-up v-notch rear sight, front post dome sight. This gun is in good condition with some wear, has a sharp/clean bore and is in perfect working order.
