Full Description
I just turned 74 and this last hunting season made me realize that I can no longer enjoy my favorite pastime. So, this gorgeous, accurate muzzleloader topped with a William Malcohm telescopic scope is up for sale. This scope was patented in Syracuse, New York in 1855. It's been shot approximately 20 times, so essentially it's practially brand new. With a 30" Browned barrel, 1 in 24" twist and set triggers, it is very accurate. The attached target is a 1" group at 100 yds. with a 300 grain bullet with 100 grains of 2F blackpowder. With the rear height adjustment being all the way down, the bullet is hitting 5" high. So, I recomend a +400 grain bullet to bring the bullet down closer to zero. When the muzzleloader is put up after the season, The barrel is packed with Rig's Barrel grease (see photo) until the grease is coming out the nipple, preventing rust. I will also , include in the sale, (1) 53" rifle case with (2) locking combo latches, (5) unopened 1 lb. cans of Swiss 2F Blackpowder and (1) opened partial can. (5) unopened cans of CCI Magnum #11 Percussion caps and (1) partial opened can. (6) packages of 20 assorted muzzleloader conicals. Also, (5) spare ramrods and (1) Stainless steel range rod. I also have a large fishing tackle box of muzzleloader possibles, solvents and tools.
