Overview & Collector Highlights:
Up for sale is a very nice, honest pre-World War I FN Browning Model 1906 pocket pistol. Designed by John Moses Browning, this historic pocket automatic features the desirable "Triple Safety" configuration (grip safety, thumb safety lever, and magazine disconnect).
- Matching Numbers: Serial numbers match across all serialized components (frame, slide, and barrel).
- Finish: Retains an estimated 85%–90% of its original factory blue finish. Exhibits honest holster/handling wear along the high muzzle edges and slide corners consistent with age, but no severe pitting or signs of re-bluing. Factory roll marks and Belgian Liège proof stamps remain crisp and distinct.
- Grips: Original checkered hard rubber (vulcanite) grips featuring the embossed "FN" monogram. Grips are in very good condition with sharp checkering and no cracks around the screw escutcheons.
- Magazine: Includes one original factory blued steel 6-round magazine clearly stamped with the oval "FN" logo.
- Bore: (Add brief note on your barrel, e.g., "Clean with strong rifling and minor frosting" or "Bright bore with sharp rifling").
- Functionality: Slide cycles smoothly, controls operate properly, and the slide stop/safety engages securely.
