Full Description
Selling a very old Remington Model 11; serial number puts production date somewhere in 1908 (116 years old, approximately).
This is an early model Remington Model 11, the American clone of the Browning Auto 5 (first semi auto shotgun ever made). "Suicide Safety" in trigger guard. I fully disassembled and cleaned every part of this gun recently; also installed the Art's Gun Shop Rebuild Kit (replaced action and recoil springs, brass friction ring, fiber buffer, and action spring plug (plastic instead of wood - all old parts included). This gun is ready for another lifetime of shooting. Wood and screws are in pretty good shape, especially if you consider the age.
Two parts need to be repaired/replaced; the magazine tube retaining screw and the shell latch spring. Even with the two parts needing repair, this shotgun does function 100%. I recently put a box of #7 1/2 shot through it, and it ran like a champ.
Asking $600. I can meet at Bass Pro in Mesa. Hard plastic Plano case included. AZ DL required.
