Why Thompson Center Arms Pro Hunter in 300 Win Mag?

          Seems like every time I hunt, I need to reacquaint myself with the rifle. I got to the point where I wanted to minimize the variables and Thompson-Center Encore Pro Hunter does just that. The feel, hand position, cheek weld, weight, sight picture are all familiar. I can swap out barrels to whatever I want and not need to buy a new rifle.  This Stainless Steel Barrel provides accuracy and weather resistance. The precision fluting helps to strengthen the barrel, dissipate heat and balance the rifle for natural handling. The Threaded Muzzle Break significantly reduces recoil. Every Pro Hunter Barrel is test fired by the factory at 100 yards to verify accuracy.

          Realistically, will you ever take a shot at a large game animal at over 500 yards? Why would you need magnification over 9X? Furthermore, crystal clear glass at 9X is 100 times better than marginal glass at 14X.
