Full Description
Here is a small collection of WWII era Life magazines. Life was the primo magazine of its time and was extremely popular, especially in the War years.
There are 12 issued dating from December 1942 to late 1943. They are not in complete sequence. It is very interesting to review what was important to American readers during WWII.
The issues are in very good condition with the exception of the one back cover that has been photographed. In one other issue, an inside ad was removed by carefully cutting a page in half. By the way, advertisements for cigarettes (very popular) and products that are no longer available are also to be found.
Interesting reading and thought-provoking articles reveal how our soldiers, sailors and marines were advancing during this horrific conflict. Great reading fun for the student or observer of WWII and Americana. Hours of reading and reminiscing are available. Many cut out and resell just the ads for much more than the investment required to own these documents as issued.
Of course, your inspection at time of purchase is expected. We will meet in North Phoenix.
Investment is only $60 for all. That’s $5 per issue (lower than any price I have been able to find on the internet). Please be patient with responses, as this is a hobby for me and not a vocation. Photos, while not professional quality, will get the point across. These are just a few from the collection.
Thanks for your consideration and good reading!
