Full Description
Up for sale is a rare military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) inert training aid, specifically modeling the fuze/central mechanism of an Italian Valmara 69 (V-69) bounding anti-personnel mine. This piece was previously utilized for classroom instruction, EOD visual recognition, and mechanical familiarization. It is a fantastic, heavy-duty display piece for ordnance collectors, EOD veterans, or landmine militaria enthusiasts.
Physical Characteristics & Details:
Design: Accurately replicates the Valmara 69 fuze structure. It features the iconic dome top with the tilt/pressure stand-off prongs (designed in the real ordnance to be triggered by pressure or tripwires). The cylindrical grey body seats into a massive, solid metal hex-nut base, which on a live mine would thread directly into the main explosive body.
Markings: Retains its original, highly visible red "EOD INERT" instructional label. The base has a hand-painted classroom/inventory number "A38". "INERT" is also written in black marker on the lower cylinder.
Condition: Good surplus condition. Shows honest wear, scuffs, handling marks, and genuine patina from years of field and classroom instructional use.
Dimensions: Approximately 4.5 inches in overall height (from the hex base to the tip of the central prong). The main cylindrical body measures roughly 3 inches in diameter at the flanged collar. (See reference photo with tape measure).
Safety Notice: This item is 100% INERT and completely free of any energetic, explosive, or hazardous materials. It contains no moving internal firing pin assemblies. It is a solid training aid strictly for display and educational purposes, fully complying with all forum rules regarding inert ordnance.
Terms & Shipping:
