Full Description
Available for sale is an authentic late 19th/early 20th-century Warnant-style Flobert parlor rifle. Originally designed for gallery target shooting, this antique single-shot features a heavy octagonal barrel, a classic finger-curl trigger guard, and a checkered walnut half-stock.
Action: Single-shot Warnant system with a tilting breechblock and hammer.
Barrel: Heavy octagonal profile with fixed iron sights.
Stock: Walnut half-stock with checkering at the wrist and forearm, showing honest age, wear, and handling marks.
Condition: Antique condition. The metal has turned to a natural, mottled gray/brown patina with typical surface oxidation and mild pitting. The action mechanism appears intact.
Note: Sold purely as an antique collectible or wall hanger. Due to its age and the low-pressure black powder design of early Flobert rifles, it should not be fired with modern ammunition without a professional gunsmith's inspection.
